Raymond Smith was a kind and gentle man and a devoted father and grandfather. He was always willing to lend a hand or help a person in need. He worked as a brakeman for Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years in Green River, WY, Grand Island, NE and Portland, OR. He was an avid sturgeon fisherman. His real desire was to be a farmer. He always had a wonderful garden. He raised filberts, sheep and pigs on a small Vancouver, Washington farm.
