BARRY COUNTY FARMER DIES Arthur Nidy, Former Resident Here Dies Following an Emergency Operation FUNERAL HELD HERE MONDAY Arthur Nidy, 57 years of age passed away t 2:30, Saturday morning, at Dr. Bernard's hospital at Crooked Lake. He had submitted to an emergency operation, early Thursday morning. Mr. Nidy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nidy, was born March 22, 1879, at Scotts. In 1917, he was married to Miss Eva Brewer, of Augusta. They have lived east of Hickory Corners for the past 18 years. Surviving, besides the widow, are, one daughter, Eleanor, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Miller and Mrs. Jessie Brignall, both of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Cora Ramsdall, Galesburg; Mrs. Veda Pierce, of Jackson. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock, Monday afternoon, at the Garrett Funeral Home in Augusta, with Rev. Victor Jones officiating. Burial was made in the Augusta cemetery. Mr. Nidy at one time lived on the town line west of Augusta. He was a brother-in-law of George Brewer, of Augusta. Augusta Beacon Feb 11, 1937 page 1
