LAKEVIEW, Mar. 18--John A. Bowers, 76, died at 10 p.m. Friday in the Logan-co home. He resided there since Nov. 16, 1949.
Born in Allen-co, Apr. 4, 1873, Mr. Bowers formerly worked as a guard at the Lima State hospital. He was a member of the Columbus Grove Lutheran church.
Surviving are his widow, Esther Beatrice Bowers, Ft. Wayne; two brothers, Ivan, Pittsburgh, and Milton, Ashtabula and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Jeffreys, Carmel, Ind.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. monday in Van Horn funeral home here, with the Rev. Earl Roush in charge. Burial will be in Truro cemetery, Columbus Grove.
