P. J. CROWLEY DIES RETURNING FROM BALL GAME

Edition: Chicago Tribune

Peter J. Crowley, 66 years old, a paving contractor, died last night shortly after leaving Comiskey park. He was the father of Wilbert F. Crowley, first assistant state's attorney.

Mr. Crowley, whose home was at 1011 North Euclid avenue, Oak Park, was at the Cub-Sox game with his brother William, superintendent of the Maywood-Oak Park district for the Public Service Company of Illinois; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Urbain; her son Jack, and a friend, the Rev. A. F. Timmins of Clinton, De Witt county.

Mr. Crowley was seized with a heart attack while buying gas at Ashland and Jackson boulevards after the game. He died in his daughter's arms, with Father Timmins administering the last sacrament, as a passing motorist drove him to Presbyterian hospital.

Surviving are his widow, Mary; his daughter, and another son, Edward, a policeman at the Englewood station. Also surviving are another brother, Frank, and four sisters.
