Kinkead-Ansley
A pretty wedding was solemnized at the Christian parsonage on Wednesday evening, Nov. 4, 1925, at 8:30 o'clock, the contracting parties being Mr. William D. Ansley and Miss Katherine Marcella Kinkead, both of this city. The impressive ring ceremony being used, and was witnessed by the bride's father, Mr. Robert Kinkead, and her sister, Mrs. Leslie Currier and husband. The bride was attired in a dainty and becoming gown of pansy crepes de chene. The worthy couple have gone to housekeeping in apartments at the Stan Hooper residence, 502 N. 5th street, where they are now at home to their friends.
The bride has grown to womanhood in this vicinity and for some time has been employed at the Combs Music Shop, where she will continue her duties for the present.
The groom has also resided here for some time and is connected with the Mason barber shop on the south side of the square. Both he and his charming bride enjoy the high regard of all who know them, and on this joyous occasion will receive the congratulations and good wishes of a large circle of friends.

Kathryn (Katie) Kinkead Ansley, daughter of Robert and Mary Kinkead, was born Jan. 9, 1898 in Lucas County, Iowa and passed away Feb. 4, 1984 at her home. Kathryn lived all her life in Lucas County. She married Bill Ansley in 1925. They operated a barber and beauty shop in Chariton for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband and by her parents and a brother, Amos. She is survived by fours sisters; Clare Cuthbert of Windsor, Canada; Bess Morrett, and Lorena Kinkead of Chariton; Dorothy Currier of Aptas, Calif., and a brother, George Kinkead of Chariton. A son, Warren Ansley and daughter-in-law, Beverly of Torrance, Calif., four grandchildren; Toni Sue Webb of San Diego, Calif., JillAnne Allen, of Fresno, Calif., Erin Campbell of Torrance, Calif., and Samuel Ansley, U. S. Army, Korea, and six great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
She was an antique dealer for many years - a well loved hobby. Kathryn has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Chariton since young womanhood and was always an active member. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Senior Citizens of Chariton. She faithfully cared for her husband, Bill, in his long illness and has been faithful in visiting and doing for her sisters, Lorena and Bess at the Chariton Manor. She ministered to many friends by running errands for them.
Kathryn loved her grandchildren and visited them in California many times. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 1984 at the Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronald Stein officiated. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
Memorial may be made to the Chariton Senior Citizens Center.

Katherine Marcella Ansley, 86, died Saturday at her home following a heart attack. She was a lifelong Chariton resident. Survivors are a brother, George Kinkead of Chariton; and three sisters, Bessie Morrett, and Lorena Kinkead both of Chariton, and Clara Cuthbert of Windsor, Canada,
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Stein conducting. Burial will be in the Chariton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Chariton Senior Citizens Center.
