Mother: Josephine Burton
Verney Howard Albertson--of Rt. 3, Trinity, 77, died this morning in High Point Memorial Hospital. He was born in Randolph County, March 11, 1901, a son of William and Josephine Burton Albertson. A resident of Trinity all of his life, and a farmer until retiring five years ago. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. On October 4, 1920, he married Lula Marsh. She survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Basil and John Albertson, both of Rt. 3, Trinity; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Meadowbrook Dr., Trinity, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Addie Griffin, Mrs. Mildred Maner and Mrs. Hazel Wagner, all of Rt. 3, Trinity and Mrs. Eva Kennedy of Rt. 2, Trinity and one brother, Glenn Albertson, of Rt. 3, Trinity.
Funeral will be at 2:30 pm Sunday at Hopewell United Methodist Church by Rev. Robert Witty and Rev. Charles B. Walker. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
