L.A. Behee, Dies, Rites Monday
LeRoy A. Behee, 2280 S. Minneapolis, retired manager of former Wichita Water Co. (now Wichita Water Dept.) died Thursday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in DeVorss Mortuary. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
Born in Leavenworth, Kan., he came to Wichita in 1918. He served as Wichita Water Co. manager from 1920 to 1961. He was a past president of Wichita Downtown Lions Club.
His wife, Lola, died in 1966.
Survivors include a son, John, Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Shaffer, Leavenworth, and two brothers, Eugene, Blue Eye, Mo., and Adam, Atchison, Kan.
