Florence Mae McClelland died at Claremont General Hospital in Claremont, NH on June 2, 1970 after a brief illness. She was born in Quebec, Quebec, Canada on June 10, 1909; the daughter of Loren and Lillian (Rigby) Magoon.

She had been a resident of Claremont for most of her life. She was a member of the Legion of Guardsmen, the World War Mothers, the Claremont Grange, and the Rebekah Lodge of Claremont.

She married George McClelland on August 27, 1927 in Lorain, OH.

She was preceded in death by her father.

The family includes her mother of Anaheim, CA; her husband; three sons George McClelland Jr of Claremont, Robert W McClelland of White River Jct, VT and Douglas C McClelland of Kelleyville, VT; a foster son Bradford McClelland of Bradford, NH; two daughters Arlene Board of Elyria, OH [died 2013 in CT] and Sandra Dunn of Unity, NH; brother Clarence Magoon of Lebanon, NH; twenty two grandchildren; and three foster grandchildren.

Burial is in Mtn View cemetery.
