Mazie Aileen Genereux of Claremont, died February 25, 2009 at the Sullivan County Health Care Center. She was born in Topsham, ME on April 19, 1912; the daughter of Asa R. and Josephine A. (Barber) Sanborn.

She attended Claremont Schools and graduated from Stevens High School the class of 1930.

She worked in the womens apparel department for Montgomery Wards for thirteen years and also for Sam Heller Mens Clothing Store. She was a past member of the United Methodist Church, the Woodman Chapter 26, Eastern Star, Claremont Womens Republican Club and the American Cancer Society.

She married George Raymond "Ray" Genereux Jr. on January 2, 1941 in Maine.

Mazie and Ray traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

She was pre-deceased by her husband and her sister Pauline Mayhew.

The surviving family includes one daughter, Cosette Genereux of Phoenix, AZ; a half sister, Elinor Moulton and half brother, Homer Fletcher both of Claremont; two grandsons Mark and Lance Perron; three great grandchildren, many nephews and one niece.

Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont, NH.
