Mrs. J. L. Reding, 72, died Tuesday night at her residence after a long illness.

Mrs. Reding was born June 10, 1880 in Tyler County. A resident of 529 No. First St., she had lived in Lufkin for 46 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Gipson Chapel with Rev. H. E. Small officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery.

Survivors include son, Truman Reding of Lufkin; brothers, Claude Shaw of Conroe and Charner Shaw of Jasper; sisters, Mrs. J. L. Grimes and Mrs. G. W. Grimes, both of Lufkin; 1 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren.
