Services for Charlie E Churchwell, 87, were to be at 3:30 p.m. today (30 Oct 1970) at Rushing Creek Baptist Church with the Rev Pruett officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetery with Decaturville Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Churchwell died around noon Thursday at the Decatur County Hospital in Parsons.
He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Allie Churchwell; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Burtchett of New Orleans; three sons Delmos Churchwell, Charlie Churchwell Jr. both of New Orleans, and Elbert Churchwell of Lexington; two half brothers, Arlie Churchwell of Trezevant and John Churchwell of Atwood; four half sisters, Mrs. Mattie Morris, Mrs. Lela Bell, both of Milan, Mrs. Edna Joyner of Cedar Grove, and Mrs. Mary Kemp of Memphis; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
