Damon Asbury, age 78 of Sevierville, originally from West Virginia, went to be with God Wednesday, January 24, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born February 22, 1928.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Monie Asbury; brothers, Harry, Robert, Denny Ray, Earl, and Golden Dean Asbury; and sister, Jenny Lou Seifer.

He will be missed by his Beloved wife Opal Asbury Son and Daughter-in-law Robert and Kathe Asbury Granddaughters Crystal, Alysa, and Rachel Great Grandchildren Brandy, Zoe, Gavin, and his namesake, Little Damon Brothers and Sister-in-law Joe Asbury, Quincy and Lil Asbury Sister and Brother in- law Dorianne and Joe Udisky Many nieces, nephews and friends

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, Fort Sanders Foundation 1901 West Clinch Avenue Knoxville, Tennessee 37916-9986

Funeral service 10:30 AM Saturday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
