Albertus R. Deardorff, 81, died yesterday morning at 12:30 at the Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, where he had been a guest since June 29. He had been in failing health since 1945 and became critically ill Friday. Born in Middleburg, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Bovey) Deardorff. Moving to Hagerstown at the age of eleven, he went to Waynesboro after his marriage in 1901 and resided there until this past June. He had been employed as an inspector at the Landis Tool Company and was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Nettie (Benedict) Deardorff, also a guest at the Fahrney-Keedy Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Dr. George L. Detweiler and the Rev. Clayton H. Gehman officiating. Interment will be made in Greenhill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
