Jeanette "Nettie" Clark was born about 1871 at Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin to Sanford Jeremy and Mary Jane (Dumprope) Clark. The family moved to Door County, settling in the community known as Foscoro in the Clay Banks area. On 19 Sept. 1891 Nettie married Herman Carl Wilhelm Forey and they had two daughters, Grace and Eleanora, before her death in 1895. Herman built the gravestone himself.
