Elsie Brown Ray, 89, of Houston, formerly of Lavaca, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, in Houston. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lavaca.
Funeral was 2 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary Chapel in Charleston with burial at the Lavaca City Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Juanetta Bristow of Houston; one son, Bobby of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Lorene Liftwich of Odessa, Texas; one brother, Lewis Brown of Dallas; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
