We think Lizzie was born in Missouri, but we know that she was born in a covered wagon while the family was on the road from Missouri to Texas. She married Oscar Aquilla Pierce and they had 9 children: Julius Jewell, James Monroe "Dake", Sterling Ward (died as infant), Annie (died as infant), Mrs. Willie Vernie Fields, Mrs. Lena Mae Frost, Otis Wornell, Mrs. Shirley Irvin, and Alvin David. She had some trouble with her mental faculties. She died of tuberculosis in a mental hospital.
