Died Monday, Nov. 21, 1994, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 97, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Loranger. He was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War I.

Visiting at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel noon until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by Brother Ed Wilson. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Loranger.

Survived by two daughters, Ernestine W. Sammonds, Baton Rouge, and Lenore W.Torbert, Reidsville, N.C.; a brother, Max F. Williamson, Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife of 56 years, Ivy Jackson Williamson; five brothers; and six sisters.

He was a member of Oak Grove Church of God, Loranger, Carpenters Local No. 1093 where he served three terms as president, and the American Legion.
