"For a number of years, he had been one of Macon's prominent citizens and was one of the pioneers of her prosperity. For several years past, he has been in the cotton business." extracted from Macon Tel & News Obit July 16, 1887. Obituary appeared in newspaper stating DOD 7/15/1887 - but toombstone indicates 6/15/1887.
