Visiting was held at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at Oak Grove Church of God, Loranger, noon until religious services at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by Bros. Ed Wilson, Richard Madden, Michael Williamson and Melvin Doolittle. Burial in church cemetery.
Survived by wife, Dorall Stice Forbes, Amite; two daughters, DeWanna Forbes Champlin, Loranger and Cheryl Forbes, Baton Rouge; two sons, Carroll "Don" Forbes and Robert Wayne "Bobby" Forbes, both of Amite; three sisters, Gertrude Pickett, Walker, Audrey Henrey Carver, Baton Rouge, Clotilde Forbes, Foley, Ala.; and a brother, Carroll James Forbes, Baton Rouge.
Preceded in death by parents, longtime Hammond residents, Robert James Forbes and Elma Williamson Forbes; and a son, Merrill Dan Forbes.
