Clyde Elton Cloudt, 72, a resident of Yelm since 1988, died Monday, January 13, 1992, in Evergreen Convalescent Center, Olympia.

He was born December 13, 1919, to Lilia (Harper) and Morris Cloudt, in Deming, New Mexico. He was graduated from high school in Globe, Arizona, in 1938.

Mr. Cloudt served in the Navy from 1940 to 1946. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor.

He was married to Aileen Dickinson on July 3, 1949, in Yuma, Arizona. The couple made their home in Corona, California, until moving to Sierra Vista, Arizona, in 1955. They moved to Show Low, Arizona, in 1967 and to Durango, Colorado, in 1984.

Mr. Cloudt had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local No. 1245.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, prospecting, camping and other outdoor activities.

Surviving Mr. Cloudt, besides his wife of Yelm, are two sons, John, Yelm, and Albert, Spanaway; a sister, Mary Lewis, Show Low; also four grandchildren.

Visitation hours are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, January 14, in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, Lacey. A graveside service for Mr. Cloudt will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.

Arrangements are by Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lacey.
