Wenzel Wanata (born Vaclav Vanata) in Malcice, Pisek, BOHEMIA md Frantiska "Fanny" Kratochvilova 3 Oct 1843 in Mirotice, Pisek, Bohemia. He was the son of Jakob Vanata and Anna Stechova. His grave and that of his wife is not marked but it is located on the Kouba lot and this has been verified by Kouba descendants who have been there, Albert Kouba of Pasadena, California

Just a 2016 update on research. I finally, on line, found 2 of his sisters marriages in Stare Sedlo, Pisek, Bohemia.

A note written in Czech, which a Homolka cousin over there was nice enough to translate for me led to this discovery. (The Homolka family, are actually, Wenzel's wife, Frantiska Kratochvilova's ancestors. Frantiska's great-grandmother Rohlicek (Dorota Homolkova who married Josef Rohlicek) are the ones that Helena is related to. She is my 8th cousin once removed. On Wenzel's sister, Annas birth record on Oct 6, 1822 in Malcice, Pisek, Bohemia. It said the community of Stare Sedlo had requested her baptismal record. From this, the cousin who translated it, said I should check Stare Sedlo for her marriage. The cousins name is Helena (Havelka)Jirovsky and she lives in a small town a ways from Prague. I dont know what I would have done without her help! It opened, for the 1st time, information on where Wenzels 2 sisters were married!(Stare Sedlo)--WHAT A BLESSING! It took a while, but it was well worth it, as the marriages there are only indexed under the groom, but I found in Aug 2016, Anna Vanatova's (Wenzel's sister) marriage record to Josef Dolejsi. They were married in Stare Sedlo on 14 January 1845 and then I located 2 sons of Josef and Anna's born in Stare Sedlo in 1845 and 1852, Frantisek and Josef Dolejsi, respectively. They are on ancestry.com, myheritage.com on my family tree there.

Then, even greater success, I searched for Wenzel's sister Veronilka's marriage and I found she married Matej Hula on 8th of May 1838 in Stare Sedlo. For Matej and Veronika Hula, I found 8 children, 5 sons and 3 daughters. Of these the eldest daughter Maria Hula who married Frantisek Havranek in 1873 goes down all the way down to living relatives in the Czech Republic! Found several trees for the Hula family at myheritage.com. One of the descendants wife and I were able to help each other which was exciting! Steve M Hall This descendant that had the Hula family tree was Alena Samec. Her husband, Jaroslav Samec, who is my 4th cousin and and he and I have common ancestors--Jakub Vanata and Anna Stechova (who are Wenzel's parents.)
