William Doyle Dean, 81, Brush died Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Dean was born Aug. 26, 1912 in Wingate. Texas, to William Lee and Sara Elizbeth Hutto Dean. At an early age, he moved with his family to Arizona. Here he grew up and attended school. In 1938 he moved to Colorado where he worked various jobs which included ranch work, truck driving, construction and mine work. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Arm. Bill was married to Helen Terrell in 1952 and to this union one son was born.
Survivors include one son, Billy Dean of Commerce City; four step-daughters, Sharon, Caroly, Marilyn and Linda, all of Commerce City; three sisters, Edyth Burt of Commerce City, Morene Parker of Moses Lake, Wash., and Corene Green of Torrence, Calif.; and four brothers, Lester Dean of Post Falls, Idaho, Tommy Dean of Ceurd'Alene, Idaho, Oliver (Bud) Dean of Moyie Springs, Idaho, and Joseph (Skip) Dean of Brush. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clafford and Leornard; and one sister, Lorene.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 10:a.m. from the Yeamans and Gordon Memorial Chapel in Akron with Pastor Don Thurn officiating. Interment followed in the Akron Cemetery.
