Raymond Aldrich spent his entire life in Posey County. He was the 5th of 7 children born to Luke and Ann Mariah Hendrickson Aldrich. He fathered 19 children, 16 of which married and had families of their own. He was survived by 14 children and numerous other family members. Grandpa lived in New Harmony all the years I was growing up. When he and Granny lived on the street behind us, I would watch for him every morning when he went to get the mail. When I saw him coming I always ran up to the corner to say "hi" to him and get a hug.
