George Osborn Carlock, son of Abraham, grandson to Hanchrist (Revolutionary War). Born in Virginia, April 7, 1800. Moved to TN in 1803. Came to Illinois around 1815. Fought with his brother Reuben in the Black Hawk War.

Served in the Company of Capt Merritt L Covell's Mounted Volunteer Rangers during the Black Hawk War 1831-1832 in Illinois with his brother Reuben Carlock.
