Writer and educator born in Pando, her real name was Armonía Etchepare Liropeya Locino, but she adopted the pseudonym to cover her identity in 1950 when she published her erotic novel "The naked woman", which caused a major scandal in the conservative and puritan Uruguayan society at the time. Among her works are: "De miedo en miedo", "Un retrato para Dickens", "Sólo los elefantes encuentran mandrágora", "El derrumbamiento", "Tríptico darwiniano", "Viaje al corazón del día" and "El hacedor de girasoles". Her works were translated into English, French and German.
