Dollie was of Indian descent....born in Georgia, but moved to Hugo, Oklahoma. She was married to Louis Arnaud of France in Lamar County, Texas on Nov 8, 1892. She had six children. One died as an infant (her name was Sophie) and the other four lived to adulthood. Only two of her adult children died natural deaths. The others died young and from accidents.
She herself died from "jaundice" at age 39 (as it is reported at Osborn Funeral Home). Her husband Louis eventually remarried and is buried in Jena, LA with his second wife along with almost all of his children.
At present her grave is unmarked, but is directly across from the Civil War veterans section and next to the big "Atkins" family tomb.
