James leaves behind his wife, Marie Trumback Adkins of Tampa, FL,;and four sisters, Frances Shellilto of Rock Hill, SC, and Mattie Bell Blackwell, Lucille Neely, and Pearlean Blackwell, all of York, SC. He had a funeral service on Wednesday the 8th of September at 3 p.m. at Adnah United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jack Bozard and the Reverend John Roper assisting. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bass Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Adkins.
