Mae was born November 20, 1920, in DeSoto County, Florida to Hardy and Tusie Green.
Mae was a homemaker and lived most of her life in High Springs. She was totally devoted to her family. She was known as a very loving, kind and giving person, not only to her family, but to the many friends and special people in her life. She was adored by many people who considered her as family. She was an avid Gator Fan and dearly loved Tim Tebow. Her house and yard are filled with Gator memorabilia. She lived a full life and, at the age of 89, still enjoyed socializing and going out to eat with her family and friends. She was a dear sweet person and will be greatly missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, E.V. Hollingsworth.
She is survived by three sons: Gene (Sheila) Hollingsworth, David (Carole) Hollingsworth, and Jerry (Sandra) Hollingsworth all of High Springs; a daughter: Linda Sodek of Gainesville; seven grandchildren: Michael (Melinda) Hollingsworth, Tommy Hollingsworth, Jimmy (Karen) Hollingsworth, Kim (Dwayne) Langford, Joey (Debbie) Hollingsworth, Staci (Wes) Popplewell, and Kevin (Jessie) Sodek; 11 great-grandchildren: Matt, Mason, Michael, Scott, Tyler, Ross, Steven, Chad and Justin Hollingsworth, Katie Coffey, and Jaxon Sodek; and three great-great grandchildren: Haley, J.J., and Rayann.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 23rd, at 6:00PM-8:00PM at Evans-Carter Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, March 24th, 11:00AM at Fort White Cemetery, Fort White, FL.
