Phoebe Jane Whaley Sigsworth was born March 6, 1840 in Loughborough Township, Frontenac, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of Nathan Whaley (1799-1879) and Ann Jackson (1809-1901). She married William Henry Sigsworth March 11, 1862 in Loughborough, Frontanac, Ontario, Canada. The immagrated from Canada in 1882 and settled in the Wisconsin area. They had nine children. She moved to the Pacific Northwest before WWI and resided close to her children who were living in the area.
