In one of the documents for Charles Stewart widow's pension Deborah A. Stewart age 70 states her first husband, Joseph A. Allison, was killed at the battle of Franklin, Tenn. In other affidavits connected with this pension application process she is referred to as the the widow of Joseph Allison so for reference purposes she was Deborah Ann Cain Allison Stewart.

December 23, 1910 Terre Haute Tribune
Newport, Ind., Dec 22, Mrs Ann Stewart died suddenly of lung fever at her home on Extension Street Thursday, at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Stewart was one of the foremost old ladies of this place and had been Ill only a few days. She was the widow of the late Charles Stewart. The funeral will be held Sunday at the home.

DEBORAH ANN STEWART

1. Pay all my debts and funeral expenses.
2. I give to JEMIMA G. STEWART, granddaughter of my late husband, one bed and bedding. It shall be turned over in custody of my daughter JENNIE A. LINK to be held by her until said JEMIMA G. STEWART shall marry.
3. The residue of my real and personal property I give to my 2 children, JENNIE A. LINK and ALONZO J. ALLISON - in equal shares.
4. I appoint my son ALONZO J. ALLISON Executor.
