Norma is survived by her son, Sidney James Sanders and wife Cathy Dekle Sanders, and her daughter, Yvonne Sanders Domel and husband Lyndon Domel. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Lauren Sanders, Margaux Sanders, William Domel, Megan Domel and Nolan Domel, and one great-granddaughter, Makaylah Grace. Norma is also survived by two sisters, Elinor Fisher and Gladys Frosch, and many nieces and nephews.
Norma was a lifelong member and faithful servant of the Lutheran Church, belonging to Redeemer Lutheran Church for over forty years. She will be remembered for her tireless service to the church, serving many meals for the homeless through Stephen Ministries.
Norma was a loyal employee and officer of Ritter Oil Company, working for Jack Ritter, Sr. and his family for over 40 years.
The family wishes to thank Buckner Villas and Buckner Hospice and their incredible staff for the loving care they provided to Norma for the last five years during Norma's devastating battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Services will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home on Saturday February 27, 2010, with visitation from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. and a service celebrating her life starting at 3:30 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
