"Tuesday evening at 4 o'clock were married at the residence of Judge Z. T. Champlin, in this city, Alphonse Gilbert to Miss Harriet Daniel. The contracting parties are popularly known here. The groom is a steady young man and now in the employ of the Traction Company, while the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Daniel of Point Cadet. A reception was held at the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Mary Daniel, last night to which the friends of the couple were invited. Many presents were received, among them being a handsome parlor lamp from the Traction Company force."

"Mrs. Henrietta Daniels Gilbert, 91, a resident of 11-9 Keller Ave., Biloxi for ? years, died Wednesday at her home. She was born in White Castle, La., July 23, 1888, had been a resident of Biloxi most of her life. She was member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Mrs. Gilbert, widow of Alphonse Louis Gilbert, has ? direct decendents. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Irene Hebert, Biloxi, and Mrs. Gloria Baisden, Ft Walton Beach, Fla; six sons, Julius Gilbert, Woodrow Gilbert, George Gilbert and Jerry Gilbert, Biloxi, Warren Gilbert, Buras, La., and Charles Gilbert, Ocean Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Everett, Mrs. Viola Gazzo and Mrs. Tilda Wentzell, Biloxi; ? grandchildren, ? great grandchildren and ? great great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. John O'Reilly, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Biloxi City Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home Thursday at 1 p.m. for the church."
