CATHERINE H. REED CLAIMED IN DEATH
Mrs. Catherine Hetrick Reed, 87, lifelong resident of this vicinity, and widow of Edwin S. Reed, died at her home, 1520 west State street, Wednesday at 9:30 p. m. fractured a hip last September.

The body was taken to the Weller-Wonderly Funeral Home, but was to be returned to the residence Thursday afternoon, Funeral services will be held at the residence Sunday at 1:30 p. m. and at Memorial United Brethren church at 2 p. m. The Rev. J. W. Miles, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Four-Mile House cemetery.
A daughter of the late George and Catherine Hendricks Hetrick, Mrs. Reed was born in Washington township November 3, 1852. She was married to Edwin S. Reed by the Rev. Samuel Essex, of Lindsey, February 6, 1873. Her husband died in 1918.

Mrs. Reed was a member of Memorial United Brethren church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. F. J. Ritzman, Burgoon; a son, Clarence M. Reed, Washington township; a brother, Noah Hetrick, Lawrence, Kan. nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, a son, Charles, four sisters and six brothers preceded her in death.
