Julia Barela, 57, was born Sept. 1, 1952, in Fort Collins, Colo., and had lived here all her life. Barela was a central services aide at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for 35 years.
She graduated from Cheyenne Central High School and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Barela is survived by two brothers, Jerry and Paul Barela, both of Cheyenne; six sisters, Mary Ochoa, Paula Garcia, Dorothy Tinajero and Rose Martinez, all of Cheyenne, Mary Locklin of Hondo, Texas, and Mable Garcia of Fort Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Precillino and Ursvlita (Quintana) Barela; and a brother, James Barela.
