Mrs. Janice Kay Blackwell, 68, of 240 Canady Road, Wellford, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Blackwell was born in Spartanburg on April 21, 1941, the daughter of the late James L. and Tenett Pack Acton and she was the wife of Tillman Blackwell.

She retired from American Security and she was a member of Jackson Mill Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Donna Belcher of Spartanburg, Deni Blackwell of Theodore, AL, Debbie Escalante of Spartanburg; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at Wood Memorial Park at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 20, 2010 with Rev. Ray Mims officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 154 Mile Stone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
