Obit- Viola May Tripp, daughter of Warren and Louisa (Lovisa) Sanders, was born in West Creek Township, Nov. 5, 1857, and passed away at the home of her son, Charles in Momence on Feb. 26, 1941, at the age of 83 years, 3 months, and 21 days. She was united in marriage to David Fuller in the year 1876; to this union 4 children were born, Mrs. Millie Dulin, Lake Village; Shelby passed away Feb. 26, 1919; Harry W. of Lowell; and Ray W. of Chicago Heights.
In the year 1897, she was married to Ebbin Tripp. To this union, one child was born, Charles M. of Momence. Viola was the fifth child of a large family, her parents moving to Indiana from Ohio by wagon and settled near the Sanders cemetery. She has always lived in Lake County, except for a few years she lived in Chicago and Chicago Heights. In 1896 she became a member of the First Christian Church of Lowell, Rev. Hootman, pastor at that time. She was liked by all her neighbors and friends, was a true Christian and lived an excellent Christian life, was an excellent mother and grandmother, always willing to help her children and grandchildren. Left to mourn are her husband, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Mrs. Arvilla Griesel of Lowell, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 1, at the Sheets chapel, Rev. E. L. Worley in charge. Burial was in Sanders cemetery.
