Lois Jean Penwell, 68, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2006.
Born September 16, 1938 in Shenandoah Junction, WV she was the daughter of the late P.W. Hilliard and Edith Turner Hilliard.
She was retired from the VA Medical Center, where she worked for thirty-one years. She was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God in Shepherdstown.
Ms. Penwell is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Peacher of Glen Cove Springs, FL and Gregg N. and Kelly Hoffmaster of Martinsburg; one daughter, Kimberly A. Hernandez and husband, Gerardo of Martinsburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elizabeth Warthman of Williamsport, MD, Martha Cummings of Harpers Ferry, Sara Rubush of Dunnellon, Fl, and Marie Crum of Shepherdstown; and one brother, Danny Hilliard of Murfeesboro, TN.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Hilliard and Willie Junior Hillard, and one sister, Naomi Ainsworth.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Troy Hart officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant
