82, of 840 E. Fourth St., Galesburg, Ill. died at 9:22 AM Friday, March 19, 2010 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

Russell was born on March 23, 1927 in Galesburg to D. Russell and Zella M Morgan A'Hearn, Sr. He married Marilyn Isaacson on June 4, 1948 in Carthage, Ill. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael (and Kimberly) A'Hearn and Dan A'Hearn, both of Galesburg; a daughter, Linda (and Dave) Huddle of Knoxville, Ill.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
He was a mechanic at McCreery Motors. He also then worked at Sears in the automotive and other departments for 22 years, retiring April 21, 1987.
He served in the U. S. Army in Italy during World War II.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Cottage Senior Circle.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Dr. Tom Larsen officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. On-line condolences may be left at www.h-p-w.com.
