MRS. R.D. BLACKWELL, NATIVE OF CONWAY, DIES
Mrs. Lucy Blackwell, aged 64, wife of R.D. Blackwell, died of pneumonia at 7:30 Wednesday night, at the family home, 327 Locust Avenue. Mrs. Blackwell was a native and lifelong resident of Faulkner and was born in the Holland community, April 03, 1871. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Edgar and Billie of Conway; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Fugatt and Mrs. Gertrude Fulmer of Vilonia, Mrs. Adele Simmons of Little Rock, and Miss Cora Blackwell of Conway; five brothers, A.L. and Hazel Mabry of Conway, John and Tom Mabry of Holland, and J.A. Mabry of Plainview, Tex.; and three sisters, Mrs. C.R. Berry and Mrs. I.M. Campbell and Mrs. Tom McDonald of Vilonia.
Funeral services will be at the Blackwell home tomorrow at 10 a.m. by Dr. E.P.J. Garott, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery, northeast of Conway, in charge of Doolin's Funeral Home.
Pall-bearers will be as follows: Active---Bert Woodruff, Herman Hogan, Louis Moore, Louis McKinney, T.O. Day, and Ralph Wofford. Honorary--W.C. Day, R.C. Lewellyn, George Joseph, M.F. Gates, A.J. Meadors, J.R. Edwards, and Guy A. Simmons, Sr.
