The Rev. Walter William Kramme, 93, of St. Charles, died Wednesday (Aug. 11, 1999) at Parkside Meadows nursing home in St. Charles.
The Rev. Mr. Kramme was pastor in the United Church of Christ for 55 years. He was pastor at Zion United Church of Christ in Union when he retired. He had also served as pastor for churches in the Missouri towns of Grand Pass, Holstein, Bethany and Berger and in Kansas and Iowa. He was a longtime board member of Emmaus Home.
The funeral service was held Sunday at St. John United Church of Christ, Fifth and Jackson streets, St. Charles. Burial was at St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Among the survivors are a son, the Rev. Dr. W.H. "Harv" Kramme of St. Charles; three sisters, Sister Mary Kramme and Hilda Kramme , both of St. Louis, and Ella Weber of High Ridge; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
