They were the parents of 12 children unless I am mistaken: Reubin Ezekiel, born April 29, 1841, who married Sarah Keziah Randolph; Charles, born 1845; Mary, born 1846, who married Reuben Peterson, Jr. after his first wife died; James Oliver Bailey, born January 26, 1846, who married Rebecca Eveline Laws; Nancy Jemasine, born August 1858, who married David McKandis Slagle; Alfred Gibson, born 1860, who married l. Mary Jane Slagle and 2. Martha Ann Ayers; and the following daughters who died of the Black Tongue Fever epidemic within two weeks of each other: Elizabeth J., born 1854; Rufina Haseline, born 1852; Margaret M., born 1850; and three daughters whose names are unknown to me.
