MRS. C.C. RUCH DIES SUDDENLY
Mrs. C.C. Ruch, 50, died at the Haxtun hospital Tuesday evening following a paralytic stroke which she suffered at about midnight Monday.

Mrs. Ruch apparently was enjoying the best of health. On Monday she had finished regular duties of the farm home and seemed in the best of spirits.

The stroke left her in a very weakened condition and she grew steadily worse as the hours passed by, until the end came Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Ruch moved to the Fairfield community about ten years ago. Since that time they have been active in the community life of that section.

She is survived by her husband and six children, five boys and one girl. They are: Mary, Philip, William, Clyde, Paul and Harold. Mrs. Ruch was a member of the Free Methodist church. She was a dutiful wife and loving mother who will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the home at 1:30 p.m. and from the Fairfield church at 2:00 p.m. Friday. The funeral sermon will be preached by the Rev. I.C. Snavely, pastor of the Church of the Brethren of Haxtun with interment in the Haxtun cemetery.

An obituary will be printed in the next issue of The Harvest.

Bessie Cohagen was born September 15, 1880 at Polk, Nebraska and died at the Haxtun hospital, February 3, 1931 at the age of 50 years, four months and 18 days.

She was married to Clyde Ruch September 2, 1908. To them were born six children, Philip, William, Clydie, Mary, Paul and Harold.

The family moved to Haxtun in March 1921 and have continued their residence here since that time. Here they have built up a nice home and reared a family that is a credit to the community.

Those left to mourn her departure are the husband and six children and two brothers of Polk, Nebraska, who were present for the funeral services. There are also other friends and relatives. Her parents, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

In childhood she was converted and joined the Free Methodist church. She devoted her life to her Lord and her family. Hers was one of the Christian homes that have kept alive the family alter. Her sudden departure brings great grief to the sorrowing family and friends.

By her faithful following of the Master she is prepared to enter the home above and join those who have gone before. During her last moments of consciousness she breathed a prayer and these words were heard: "Oh! Dear Jesus."

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. I.C. Snavely from the home and from the Fairfield church. Interment was in the Haxtun cemetery.
