M. Irene Lafond, 86, and a resident of Bishop Commons, peacefully passed away March 15, 2010. She was born in Montreal, Canada and was the daughter of the late Alexandre and Alexina Trembley Galant. Mrs. Lafond was the loving wife of Gerard L. Lafond of Oswego. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Danielle (Bill) Stephenson of PA, Lynne (Rock) Morris of Oswego, Gisele (Eugene) Kim of PA; four sons, Pierre Lafond of Rochester, Michel (Carol) Lafond of NJ, Marc Lafond of Arizona, Richard (Ellen) Lafond of Oswego; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday 10 a.m. from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling Hours: Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
