Al was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma February 2, 1945, to Oswald Baines Odom and Lorraine Frances (Bilby) Odom. He was married to Edith Lay in Carthage, Missouri, on April 12, 1968. Al was a auto mechanic by trade. He worked for many years in the Automotive Department for Target. He managed the automotive shop before moving into another department of the store. Al enjoyed going to the Drag Races, riding motorcycles, spending time with his family and spoiling the grandchildren. He also loved to bowl before he became disabled. Al will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Oswald and Lorraine Odom, and step-father Jack L. McFadden, Sr, who was very influencial in Al's life.
Al is survived by his wife Edith of the home; sons Greg Wilson and wife Jennifer of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Albert G. Odom and wife Marie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Brian S, Odom and wife Sheila of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother Jack L. McFadden, Jr. of Enid, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services for Al will be Monday, March 22, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. in the Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Rev. Fred Waldrep will officiate. Visitation for Al will be Saturday, March 20, 2010, from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Sunday, March 21, 2010, from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
