Arah Fowler, 70, of Cosby, passed away Thursday morning at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ordway Hannah and Harold Fowler; parents, John and Lottie McGaha; brothers, Fred, Joe and Clyde McGaha; sister, Bernice McGaha; and stepdaughter, Irene Hannah Benson.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Grooms and her husband, Danny, of Cosby, and Aletha McMillan and her husband, Von, of Newport; stepsons, Arlin Hannah and his wife, Helen, of Newport, and Garland Hannah and his wife, Huberta of Newport; brothers, Ronnie McGaha of Cosby, Tom McGaha of Newport, and Ottis McGaha of Greenville, South Carolina; sisters, Donna LaFollette of Sevierville, Mexie Byrd of Kodak, TN, and Eula Caughron of Cosby; grandchildren, Danny Wayne Grooms and Sarah Danielle Grooms of Cosby, and Daniel and Christopher McMillan of Newport; and step-grandchildren, Mickey, Marty and Julie McNeally and Stephen and Nathan Hannah, all of Newport.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Large officiating. Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.
