Thomas Oliver Hoggard died at 9 o’clock last night in St. Christopher’s Hospital Norfolk, at the age of 62 years, after an illness lasting about two weeks.
For the last fifteen years Mr. Hoggard has been keeper of the Churchland Bridge and in that position gained wide acquaintance, especially in the Western Branch District of Norfolk County.
He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Abbie Hoggard, and two daughters, Misses Hattie and Lillias Hoggard, and the following sons; Thomas B., Reginald James O. and Harry E. Hoggard.
The body was brought to the undertaking establishment of Joseph E. Snellings, in the city, where it was prepared for burial.
The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 5 o’clock from Calvary Baptist Church and interment will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery.
