Clifton K. Skinner was the son of Jasper N. Skinner and Julia Ann Busby. He married Ida Ann Beaman on March 5, 1885 in Christian County, IL. and they were the parents of eleven children. His burial took place on May 8, 1910 in Antioch Cemetery.

K. Skinner died at his home a mile south of Witt Friday, May 6, aged about 50 years, the funeral being held Saturday, interment at Center Grove Church northwest of Nokomis. He was well and favorably known and was held in high esteem by all his neighbors, and an honest and hard working farmer. He is survived by a wife and seven children.
Note: The obituary had misspelled the last name as Skimer. He was buried in Antioch Cemetery, not Center Grove Cemetery.
