The funeral of George Bartelme, whose body was brought here from
Green Bay, took place here Thursday at ten o’clock am, Rev. A.
Hearn of Denmark officiating with burial in adjoining cemetery.
On the sixth of August he had a paralytic stroke, was unconscious
just a week. He died Aug. 13 at the home of his brother Ed. at
Green Bay. He was thirty-seven years old last March 3rd, and was
unmarried. His mother preceded him in death twenty years ago, and
his father died sixteen years ago. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Harry
Carle at Milwaukee, two brothers Ed at Green Bay and Alfred of
Tacoma, Wash., and a half brother Lambert Edwards at Idaho. He
also leaves a grandmother, Mrs. W. Elmer and many uncles and aunts and over fifty cousins. Among the out of town people who attended the funeral were Walter Wegner of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. John Elmer and family of Iron Mountain, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. James Zahorik and Mrs. J. Krish of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Schaden of Two Rivers, Frank Elmer and son Arling of Green Bay, Henry Elmer and Mrs. Krall of Maribel, Mrs. W. Elmer and grandson of Denmark, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brennan of Wayside, Peterson family of Green Bay, Mrs. Brennen’s sister and family, Mrs. Josephine Kriwanek and son of Denmark, Mrs. John Bartelme of Rockwood and the Wegner family from Mishicot.
