Rueben married Persanna Landis in Ohio. Very little is known about their life in Ohio. They moved to Missouri and raised 7 children: 4 boys and 3 girls. Persanna told her grandson that her maiden name was Shaffernooker but her death certificate record show it as Landis; however, some of her children's death certificates show it as Shafinocker. Could be her mother's name was this name or she could have been raised by relatives other than parents. It also could be that Lucy (married to Jesse Landis) had Persanna but was unwed at the time or the husband took off or died and Lucy then married Jesse bringing Persanna into the marriage. All the children: Floyd, Ralph, Park, William, Irene, Bessie and Mabel lived in the Kansas City Missouri area while growing up. Floyd died early having fallen from a scaffolding. He is buried in Independence, Missouri. We know very little about the rest but would love to meet any relatives. Floyd May and Florence Laughlin had 3 children: Edwin, Ray, and Wilma.
