UVALDA -- Albert Lee Collins, 54, died June 24 at home. A native of Candler County, he had lived most of his life in Toombs County. He was employed by Amoco Fabrics and Fibers in Hazlehurst for 20 years and recently worked for Wal-Mart of Vidalia. He had served two years in the Army and was Church of God by faith. SURVIVORS: his wife, Francis Collins of Uvalda; five daughters, Cheryl Lee Smith of Lumber City, Sharon Stanfield of Reidsville, Cristy Marlene Hayes of Hazlehurst, Tammy Lynn DiCarlo and Angela Grace Hayes, both of Belleville, Ill.; three sons, Timothy Hayes, Stacey Hayes and Neil Hayes, all of Hazlehurst; five sisters, Annie Lou Goff of Romulus, Mich., Lillie Wilcher of Lyons, Grace Smith of Eulonia, Janie McCarthy and Emma Ree Brannan, both of Glennville; and eight grandchildren. VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service of Vidalia. FUNERAL: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service of Vidalia, burial in Cool Springs Cemetery in Candler County.
